PLAYER PROFILES

After The Whistle is pleased to provide a special PLAYER PROFILE SECTION to minor hockey players from around the world. By having his/her own player profile, a child will develop a healthy sense of pride and personal satisfaction which should result in a much improved attitude towards the game of hockey. It will allow the boy or girl to show friends and family members a summary of accomplishments and achievements, not only in hockey, but in all areas of his/her life. Finally, it may also generate interest among educational institutions with scholarships to offer young players so that they might utilize their hockey talents to further their post-secondary education. TEAM PROFILES

By having a TEAM PROFILE, a hockey club is able to instill a sense of pride among the players as they strive to be the best they can be. It is also a way to help young boys and girls develop a healthy attitude towards the game. It is also a way of showing appreciation to sponsors. Out of town tournament organizers and participants will also be impressed with your team profile. Examine the following sample team profile and then look below to find out how little it can cost you to have your own team profile posted on After The Whistle.

PLAYER PROFILE FEES

FIRST YEAR COST OF AN INDIVIDUAL PLAYER PROFILE: $150 plus GST

	original set-up to insert all of the available information provided. This will be provided to us during a practice session, over the phone, or over the internet. Once we have the information we will edit it and place it in an easy-to-read style which is consistent with others on the site.
	the scanning or placement of a digital photo. You can mail us a photo; send us a photo by email; or we may even be able to attend a practice and take the photo ourself. As you change teams, you can send us an updated photo and we will replace the old one. We may even leave a few up on the site for comparison purposes.
	placement of your profile among others of your year of birth. We want your profile to be easily found by anyone who may be interested in reading your background. By categorizing all of the individual profiles by year of birth, it will be easier for hockey scouts or university recruiters to find players who will be available. It will also enable you and your family and friends to find your profile easily.
	updating of information and statistics on a monthly basis during the season. We want you to send in updated information as often as possible. While it is not reasonable to expect to update information every day, we do feel that after each month, there should be some more information to add or change. The more changes you make, the more comprehensive your profile will become and the more interesting it will sound to others who read it.
	consulting services on individual concerns about hockey or education. One of the main benefits of having your profile on our site is that you have access to a number of relevant services from Hockey Consultants International. If you are having difficulty at school, call us or send us a description of your problems by email. We will give you the best advice possible to help you resolve your difficulties. If you need advice on any aspect of your hockey - whether it is about a decision to change teams, try out for the select team, or anything at all - get hold of us and we will provide you with guidance. We consider you to be one of our clients and we will treat you as such.
	promotion of site to post-secondary institutions in Canada and the United States. We will be sending out regular emails to hockey recruiters from colleges and universities across Canada and the United States. Our emails will be suggesting that they visit our profile section to get more information on possible recruits for scholarships.
	confidentiality will be maintained. Unless you specifically want your email address, phone number, mailing address, etc. posted, we will not make this information available to the general public. If people want to get hold of you, they will have to first of all come through us and then we will forward you the information.

SECOND AND SUBSEQUENT YEARS: $120 plus GST

	updating of information and statistics on a monthly basis during the season. We will continue to update your information, thus building up your hockey portfolio. Eventually, after several years, your site will be a complete personal profile, covering not only your hockey background, but also your educational, recreational and social backgrounds. It will be a site to which you can even refer potential employers. It will also be a site where you can turn to whenever you want to find out information about your own playing background if need be.
	changing photo with one of current team. Send us a photo of you in your current team's uniform and we will change the old photo. We would like your photo to be a recent one.
	consulting services on individual concerns about hockey or education. The consulting services provided by Hockey Consultants International will continue to be available to all players with posted profiles. It is expected that several players will eventually require the services of consultants or third-party representatives.
	promotion of site to post-secondary institutions in Canada and the United States.

TEAM PROFILE FEES

ANNUAL FEE: $1200 plus GST

	attendance at a practice session to take photos of individual players. We will come out to one of your practice sessions (for teams in the Greater Toronto and Greater Sudbury areas only) to take individual photos of your players in their team uniform. The players will also be asked to fill out a basic questionaire with information which will be posted on their individual profile. We will not take up too much of their time at the practice. We would rather call them after the practice to discuss the information in more detail when they are not in so much of a rush. As long as we have the photo and the basic information, we can begin the formation of the profile section.
	compiling a full individual profile for each player (up to a maximum of 20). We expect that most teams will have less than 20 players, however, we are prepared to do a full individual profile for up to 20 players. If you have more than 20 players, we will change an additional $50 for each extra player.
	compiling a team profile with information obtained from coach/manager. We will also get some general information about the team itself. We want to write up a kind of story or article about the team so that readers will have a better idea of the club. This information can be easily obtained from the coach or manager. It will be of interest to tournament organizers, and other hockey fans in general.
	taking an informal team photo or using one provided by club. Unless you can provide us with a formal team photo, we will take an informal photo for posting on the site. We do need some kind of a photo so that we can identify the players and provide a link from their name under the photo to their own individual profile.
	updating of information and statistics on a monthly basis. We will be encouraging you to send us updates as often as possible. We want to be able to allow our readers to follow the progress of the team during the season.
	leaving profile in archives if club takes team profile in subsequent years. If your club wishes to do a team profile in subsequent seasons, we will keep your team profile in the archives. It will be interesting to follow the long-term accomplishments of an individual team.
	recognition of team sponsors. We feel that sponsors deserve more recognition than they receive. We will list your sponsors so that you can demonstrate to them your appreciation in yet another way. If they have web sites, we will also link from their name to the corporate web site.
